The inaugural Infineum Marine Symposium, themed “Targeting net zero,” gathered key stakeholders from the Greek shipping community at Athens recently, to discuss ways to meet emissions reduction regulations and explore routes toward future decarbonisation and sustainability.

Mr George Saroglou, Chief Operating Officer of Tsakos Energy Navigation, delivered the opening address at the Symposium, sharing insights from their trials using Infineum marine additives to address fuel stability issues. The event then focused on various strategies to meet current emissions reduction targets and future decarbonisation goals. It emphasised the importance of ensuring that fuels, fuel additives, and lubricants work cohesively to comply with regulations without compromising on performance.
