Fly on a Costa Cruise with the “Lost Luggage Concierge”

Costa Cruises and Sostravel.com S.p.A are extending their cooperation for the on- board tracking and delivery service of lost luggage.
Costa Cruises and Sostravel.com S.p.A. are strengthening their partnership, renewing the ‘Lost Luggage Concierge’ service for guests of the Italian cruise company until November 2025.
The service, launched in spring 2024, provides that, in the event of lost luggage on arrival at the airport of the flight used to reach the cruise, Costa guests will receive assistance from SosTravel, which will track down and return luggage directly on board the ship within 48 hours (excluding sailing time).
In the first six months of operation, the ‘Lost Luggage Concierge’ ensured the return of 95.3% of lost luggage.
As a result of this success, the service will be included by default, at no extra cost, to guest bookings departing from Europe with a Costa ‘flight & cruise’ package for the 2024- 25 winter itineraries, such as Caribbean and Arab Emirates cruises, and for the 2025 itineraries, including cruises in Northern Europe and cruises to Greece and Turkey departing from Athens.
In addition, the Lost Luggage Concierge will be available for purchase on the MyCosta portal for European guests who only book the cruise, providing their own flight to the ship’s port of departure.
“This was an extraordinary experience,’ says Massimo Crippa, General Manager of Sostravel, ’as it represented a significant test for our organization. In fact, the customization of the service entails the recovery and return of lost luggage within 48 hours, without considering the hours of navigation, following the ship’s itinerary. The appreciation of guests, resulting from the very high percentage of luggage recovered, has allowed us to extend this collaboration, and we are extremely satisfied with the results obtained”.
Daniel Caprile, Vice President Pricing & Revenue Management, Itinerary & Transportation at Costa Cruises, comments: “The Lost Luggage Concierge achieved excellent results last summer, solving a flight-related problem that could have affected the holiday experience. Thanks to the close collaboration between SosTravel.com and our Travel Service team, led by Massimo Callegari, the organizational aspects were also handled very smoothly. We are therefore delighted to extend the Lost Luggage Concierge for next year as well, allowing our guests to enjoy their cruise without worries right from the airport departure, and travel agents to offer a Costa holiday with the benefit of this additional service, relieving them of a demanding task”.
