Olympic’s second CSOV with a flawless sea trial
09 October 2024: The second Construction Service Operation Vessel for Olympic, Olympic Notos, has successfully completed its sea trial. This marks a significant milestone in the vessel’s journey towards full operational status, following in the footsteps of its sister vessel, the Olympic Boreas
The sea trial for Olympic’s new CSOV, Olympic Notos, is officially completed. And project manager for Ulstein Verft, Helge Torvik, is happy with the trial and everybody’s efforts:
The sea trial went flawlessly. The vessel performed satisfactorily, and all tests has been performed as planned. I’m very satisfied with the contributions from all parties, both from Ulstein, Olympic and all subcontractors. Everyone has been working intensely to make this a successful sea trial!
Also Olympic’s representatives are happy with the sea trial and cooperation in the project. The vessel’s coming captain, Kim Kopperstad, thrived onboard during the sea trial, and predicts a bright future for the vessel:

This vessel’s advanced technology and efficiency will be a game changer for walk-to-work and other offshore energy projects.
