Operations Director (CSM Energy) Vacancy at Columbia Group

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead and manage our offshore operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operational management, with a proven track record in the offshore industry. The Operations Director will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, optimizing processes, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective offshore operations.
– Oversee the day-to-day management of offshore activities, ensuring they meet both productivity and quality standards.
– Coordinate with other department heads to ensure that operational activities are aligned with the overall strategy and objectives of the company.
– Manage budgets and forecasts, and oversee procurement and supply chain management to ensure cost-effectiveness.
– Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and safety requirements in all offshore operations.
– Lead and manage a diverse team, providing coaching and professional development opportunities.
– Facilitate communication between onshore and offshore teams to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of issues.
– Analyze operational data and reports to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
– Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
– Liaise with external stakeholders, including clients, Charterers, end-users, regulatory bodies, partners, and suppliers.
– Ensure that all offshore equipment and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards and are fit for purpose.
– Be prepared to respond to emergencies and unexpected issues, implementing contingency plans as needed.
Qualifications:
– Experience in a Operations Management position with an offshore management company
– Seagoing experience as Captain with DP-2 and DP-3 vessels
– Extensive experience in operational management, preferably in an offshore environment/ wind farm/ Oil and Gas
– Strong understanding of offshore industry standards and regulations.
– Excellent leadership and people management skills.
– Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
– Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.
– Proficient in the use of operational software and technology.
– Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including occasional visits to offshore sites.
