The Awards, held on 2nd December in London, applaud high quality in transportation and logistics reporting and are open to the global journalist community

The Seahorse Freight Association is now accepting Award entries for the Seahorse Journalist Awards 2024.

The awards are dedicated to recognising and celebrating the committed professionals who provide insightful coverage, analysis, and commentary on supply chain matters.

This year Seahorse has introduced the ESG Journalist of the Year award, which recognises journalists who have reported on environmental, social and Governance (ESG) within the logistics industry.

The addition reflects the growing importance of environmental considerations and celebrates journalists who are contributing to the industry’s ongoing mission to meet ESG goals.

“The new award encourages a focus on the future and the impact that the logistics industry has on the environment,” said Emma Murray, Chairman, Seahorse.

“Seahorse wants to encourage the next generation, and this award demonstrates our commitment to this.”

“With this in mind, we have some exciting announcements about mentorship and training schemes that we will be sharing in the next few weeks.”

Once again, the Seahorse Awards are supported by headline sponsor AAL Shipping, with award category sponsors DNV, Glasgow Prestwick Airport, Global K9 Protection Group, Lloyd’s Register, Port of London Authority, PSA, TIACA, and TT Club.

There are 11 judged awards, that recognise the best in different journalist disciplines, including Feature, Supply Chain, Technology, Maritime, Air Cargo, Overland, News, Multimedia, ESG, Rising Star and Journalist of the Year. There are also two nominated awards, Personality of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The judging panel consists of experts from across the global supply chain, including thought leaders from different areas of the logistics industry, with a mix of age groups represented as well as a 50/50 gender ratio. 

Winners of the awards will be recognised at the Seahorse Freight Association Christmas party held at the Steel Yard in London on the 2nd of December 2024.
