Silverstream Technologies optimises leadership team and welcomes new Chief Operations Officer

Silverstream Technologies is pleased to announce some changes to our executive leadership team. To begin with, Stephen Potts, our Chief Operating Officer, is taking on a new role as Chief Strategy Officer, where he will lead the execution of our strategic plans across our organisation. He will also spearhead our international expansion, among other responsibilities. This transition underscores our commitment to strategic growth and innovation, leveraging Stephen’s expertise and almost decade-long experience with Silverstream, to propel our business into its next phase of development.
In this capacity, Stephen will also provide functional leadership for our technical team as he takes over from Catriona Savage. After a proud 8 months as Chief Technical Officer, helping Silverstream to continue leading the industry, Catriona Savage is leaving the company. She has decided to devote more time to her role as President of RINA and her involvement in a number of other organisations. The company thanks Catriona for her contribution and wishes her well.
In addition, we are excited to share the promotion of Simon Cuthbert to the newly created position of Chief Operations Officer. Simon, our Vice President of Operations, will now join Silverstream’s executive leadership team and will hold accountability for operational performance. This role is instrumental in fulfilling our customer commitments and supporting the operational needs of our sailing fleet.
Furthermore, our Chief Financial Officer’s role is expanding to encompass consolidated business support functions. In addition to financial oversight, our CFO Andrew Derodra will now also assume functional responsibility for human resources and corporate services. This expansion underscores our commitment to building and maintaining a high-performing team, as well as ensuring the effectiveness of our corporate services in supporting business goals.
Noah Silberschmidt, Founder & CEO, Silverstream Technologies, said:
“Today, with an expanding fleet of 75 systems in-service, an orderbook of almost 200 vessels and three office locations across the UK and China, we are pleased to advance our leadership team through these important appointments. These changes underscore our commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, people and international growth. I’m confident that with Stephen Potts leading our strategic initiatives as Chief Strategy Officer, Simon Cuthbert overseeing our operational functions, and our CFO Andrew Derodra taking on additional responsibilities, we are well-positioned for continued growth of our company, accelerating the business and delivering exceptional value to our customers.”
