Haris Antoniou is working with Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement Cyprus since 2004 starting as an Assistant Fleet Personnel Officer and developed to Assistant Fleet Personnel Manager as of January 2022. During the years, he was involved in all aspects of Crewing such as Selection & Recruitment, crew changes, planning, documents review.

Further he was Assistant Administration Manager from 2008 till 2014 concentrating on the Seafarers’ Training, TMSA implementation & Audits, MLC Regulations implementation, Union Coverage, Drug & Alcohol, development of Company’s Crewing Procedures Policies.

Since July 2014, he is purely involved on the Operational side of Crewing Department and under present capacity, he is responsible for the Management & Strategy of the Fleet Personnel Department, Career development, Crewing budgets, Client Orientation, etc.

The journey within the Crewing Environment was and will always be interesting / alerting with a lot of opportunities, adapting to the new realities of human factor and recent needs. The successful promotion of women seafarers and the mental well being of Seafarers are considered the present and future key Challenges of the Industry.
