Arnhem energy front Alliander, Dekra, DNV, KEMA Labs, and TenneT join forces as partners of Arnhem Electricity Week

Alliander, DEKRA, DNV, KEMA Labs, and TenneT are joining forces as partners of Arnhem Electricity Week. As leading players in the energy industry, these organizations support the initiative of Arnhem Electricity Week and collaborate to promote sustainable energy solutions and attract talent to the region.
Arnhem, the city of electricity
Arnhem Electricity Week, taking place from May 25 to 31, goes beyond the ordinary tech event. It is a dynamic mix of business-to-business (B2B) and consumer-oriented (B2C) activities. Throughout the week, there will be congresses, matchmaking dinners for startups and investors, as well as public evenings featuring electronic music, science films, and a special Formula E evening.
Here in the Arnhem region, industry leaders and electricity enthusiasts will unveil the landscape of tomorrow’s energy. The event serves as a dynamic platform where talent, policymakers, companies, startups, and investors come together to network, gain inspiration, and contribute to the development of sustainable energy solutions—all with a commitment to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7.1. As a visitor, you will explore the future of the energy sector for the next 5 to 10 years and beyond. What innovations will you see, what changes, and where will investments yield returns and contribute to a more sustainable world?
With their knowledge and expertise in energy transition, the aforementioned partners are combining their strengths to transform Arnhem Electricity Week into the leading global event in the field of electricity in the coming years.
“As an ‘Electricity Hub,’ this region is synonymous with leading knowledge and expertise in the electricity sector, providing an inspiring environment to shape the energy transition. Attracting and retaining talent is central to our efforts to increase the international recognition of this thriving hub.” – Maurice Adriaensen, Director and Area Manager, Energy Systems at DNV.
The electrification event of the year
The flagship event of Arnhem Electricity Week is the European New Power Summit. An international event where European companies, investors, and top talents come together. The Netherlands is at the forefront of electrifying society and is leading in addressing issues such as grid congestion. What is the roadmap for acceleratingthis transition? In the summit’s program—curated by the three technical universities of the Netherlands—you will be taken through the latest developments in system integration, energy storage, and electric charging.
The day will be hosted by former BBC World presenter David Eades. The full program with all speakers can be found at arnhemelectricityweek.com/european-new-power-summit-2024/.
“The energy transition is one of the great challenges of our time. We strongly believe in the power of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and inspiration when it comes to achieving ambitious energy goals. As a partner, we support the initiative of Arnhem Electricity Week and are proud to be part of a wonderful group of Arnhem-based companies contributing to sustainable energy solutions with know-how and experience.” – Bram Holtus, CEO of DEKRA Certification B.V.
