ELPIDA

The “ELPIDA – Association of Friends of Children with cancer” was founded in 1990 by a group of motivated women, with Mrs. Marianna V. Vardinoyannis as the President of the Board of the Association. Its aim is to stand by and support in every possible way children with cancer and their families. Always guided by love, care and responsibility to fellow human beings and aiming to fight childhood cancer, through any possible means, “ELPIDA”, since its foundation until  today, has implemented multifaceted scientific and social projects, which literally changed the landscape of childhood cancer in Greece. “ELPIDA” Association, from the time of its establishment, has struggled to improve childhood cancer statistics in our country with research programs, personalized treatments and psychological support of the children and shall continue to do so by constantly setting and attaining new goals dictated by new needs in the field of childhood cancer. With the undivided support of the entire society, this important project continues dynamically and innovatively.
