Cyprus Shipping News is delighted to announce ESG Shipping Awards as Supporter of the 1st CSN Greece Maritime Supply Chain and Vessels Performance Forum, Athens, 14 March “Navigating the Complexities of Maritime Supply Chain and Vessels’ Performance Management”.
The ESG Shipping Awards is a purpose-driven initiative, aiming to recognize and promote companies in Greece and International that incorporate ESG practices into their business model and operations. This initiative, born out of the joint efforts of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, the Hellenic Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy and the Principal Organizers, represents a global celebration of ESG excellence in the maritime industry.
Each year the ESG Shipping Awards cover various categories, recognizing companies that have implemented innovative and impactful initiatives to reduce their environmental impact, to prioritize their employees, to support the society and to demonstrate strong corporate governance practices and ethical conduct. The finalists and the winners of each ESG category are judged by a Judging Committee. The Judging Committee consists of at least eight (8) members. The Judges are members of non-for-profit organizations, experts in the respective ESG areas and shipping.
The winners of the ESG Shipping Awards are selected through a rigorous evaluation process that considers the company’s ESG profile, performance, initiatives, and impact in the respective categories.
The Nomination process is governed under a strict Confidentiality policy. Only Ms. Helena Athoussaki, one of the Principal Organisers, in her capacity as Facilitator, and the Judges are aware of the nominees and the winners. The Judges have signed NDA agreements. The winners (Gold, Silver, Bronze) are announced at the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony.
