Mr. Waleid Gamal El Dien, Chairman of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), received Ambassador Mr. François Cornet d’Elzius, Ambassador of Belgium to Cairo, within the framework of enhancing the cooperation. In coincides with SCZONE’s promotional efforts which target several destinations, including the European continent, to introduce investment opportunities and attract new investments in the targeted sectors.

” SCZONE offers its investors prominent competitive advantages through 6 seaports on the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. SCZONE develops its ports to bring its services to a world-class standard. We also exerted efforts to localize the green fuel industry in cooperation with major international partners from various parts of the world to maximize the benefit of SCZONE’s resources and to contribute to the green transition globally. This will not only be through manufacturing it, but also through ships bunkering and exporting it to various global markets. SCZONE succeeded in exporting the first shipment of green ammonia produced in the Sokhna Integrated Zone. SCZONE will conduct a promotional tour to Belgium to discuss the available investment opportunities in the targeted sectors, especially the green fuel projects and its feeding industries.” Mr. Waleid Gamal El Dien, Chairman of SCZONE declared.

It should be noted that SCZONE has carried out several successful promotional tours during the past period to promote the targeted sectors, especially the active pharmaceutical ingredient for medicines, green fuel and its complementary industries, the automotive industry, and others.
