Bazeport services proving to have significant impact on seafarers’ wellbeing and onboard socialisation

Bazeport, a leader in onboard entertainment and information-sharing systems, released its annual 2024 Crew Welfare Survey Report, highlighting the positive impact its Video-on Demand crew entertainment and info-sharing service has on seafarers’ wellbeing and onboard socialisation.

The report, based on a survey conducted between 30th November 2023 and 8th January 2024, received feedback from 535 users of the Bazeport service from across ten global fleets.

It provides invaluable insight into the beneficial role a managed content and information-sharing system, providing a large selection of quality content directed at the crew, can have on improving and maintaining crew welfare.

Key findings in the report indicate:

·         There is an indisputable correlation between Bazeport service usage and increased crew well-being and onboard socialisation

·         84% of respondents affirm that Bazeport enhances their well-being onboard.

·         Quality content and information-sharing systems, providing high-quality, licensed entertainment content (and more), are critical for fostering a more connected, collaborative, productive and safer maritime workplace.

·         Over half of the qualitative feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many respondents highlighting Bazeport’s role in easing homesickness and boredom.

Tor Oveland Vimme, Business Development Manager at Bazeport, states, “The findings of our research are not just a testament to Bazeport’s effectiveness in enhancing crew welfare, but also underscore the importance of investing in technologies that cater to the mental and emotional wellbeing of seafarers. And that doesn’t need to be a big spend!”

Bazeport is committed to continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring that Bazeport remains a vital component in enhancing the quality of life for those at sea.

The Crew Welfare Report 2024 reinforces the company’s dedication to promoting a healthier, more connected maritime community.
