Meet the Organisers of the 1st CSN Cyprus ‘Current Shipping Affairs Debate’ – Adonis Violaris, Managing Director – Cyprus Shipping News


Cyprus Shipping News is delighted to announce the speakers of the first CSN Cyprus ‘Current Shipping Affairs Debate’ “Are the challenges of 2024 for shipping up for debate?”.

With more than 30 years of experience in the shipping industry, Adonis worked in the related fields of Marketing, Public Relations and Corporate Communications, with well-known shipowning and shipmanagement companies.

He was responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of the organisation’s marketing and advertising initiatives with primary responsibility to generate revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing for the entire organisation, using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising and public relations.

He has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in the most important marketing, sales and business development strategies used today as well as in managing people and companies. Conceptualised and orchestrated marketing campaigns that effectively reinforce and build brand images.

He was deeply involved with Satellite Communications and Technology for 25 years and also chaired the Cyprus Shipping Chamber ICT Committee for 20 years. Throughout his education and professional experience, he has maintained close links with the Marketing, HR, IT and Communications industry and has acted as key speaker, moderator and panellist at various conferences. Stayed well connected with editors and publishers of international media organisations, as well as with designer offices.


Save the date in your calendar for this promising debate “Are the challenges of 2024 for shipping up for debate?” The shipping industry will be faced with several challenges, in the year ahead with acute interest on the rising cost of fuel, the shortage of labour, the increasing complexity of regulations as well as the threat of cyberattacks.
