Simon Pitout, CEO – DP World Limassol
Mr Simon Pitout’s career spans over 20 years in the logistics, shipping, and terminal industry. He joined DP World in 2008, initially as Commercial Director for DP World’s Middle East and Africa Regions, before being appointed as Vice President, Commercial in 2012 and then Vice President, Logistics and Supply Chain in 2020. Previously, he held roles at Maersk Line and APM Terminals across several markets including South Africa, Denmark, and Holland with a focus on intermodal operations, business development and commercial leadership. Mr Pitout took over as CEO of DP World Limassol in June 2023.
Save the date in your calendar for this promising debate “Are the challenges of 2024 for shipping up for debate?” The shipping industry will be faced with several challenges, in the year ahead with acute interest on the rising cost of fuel, the shortage of labour, the increasing complexity of regulations as well as the threat of cyberattacks.
