Shipping Deputy Minister of Cyprus Marina Hadjimanolis is traveling to Japan to promote Cyprus Shipping

The Shipping Deputy Minister of Cyprus, Ms. Marina Hadjimanoli, is traveling to Japan where she will hold a series of meetings with ship owners, executives of shipping companies, financial institutions and shipyards. The visit is part of the intensive efforts to promote and strengthen the Cyprus registry but also of Cyprus shipping in general, with the aim of attracting shipping companies to Cyprus and ships to the Cyprus registry.

As part of her visit to Japan, the Deputy Minister will attend the naming events of two new cargo ships of the Safe Bulkers company, which have been built according to the highest standards and modern environmental specifications and will be registered in the Cyprus ship register. The two ships will be given the names ‘Ammochostos’ and ‘Kerynia’, in an important symbolic act of commemoration by the company, 50 years after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.
