Wisdom Marine Group and Synergy Group launch strategic bulk carrier joint venture

In a significant collaboration, Wisdom Synergy Ship Management (WSSM), a Wisdom Marine Group and Synergy Group JV, heralds a new era in maritime operations for the Wisdom-owned dry bulk tonnage, as ever prioritising safety, operational efficiency and sustainable practices.
Taipei/Singapore, 29 December 2023: Wisdom Marine Group and Synergy Group are excited to announce their joint venture, Wisdom Synergy Ship Management (WSSM).
This cements the collaborative relationship between Synergy Group and the Wisdom Marine Group which was established in 1999 by shipping magnate James Lan and is listed on the London and Taiwan Stock Exchange.
The initiative follows Wisdom’s decision last year to entrust Synergy Group with providing management services for a portion of its fleet, laying the groundwork for this significant partnership that epitomises operational excellence and adherence to the highest industry standards.
Headquartered in Singapore and with key operational centres in Taiwan and India, WSSM is poised to redefine technical management of Wisdom’s diverse fleet.
James Lan expressed his complete confidence in the venture and said, “With WSSM, we embark on a transformative journey, leveraging Synergy’s expertise to enhance our fleet’s operational safety and efficiency, underscoring our commitment to sustainable practices and the well-being of our crew.”
Captain Rajesh Unni, Founder and Executive Chairman of Synergy Marine Group, observed that “joining forces with Wisdom Marine Group, a leader in global shipping, is an honour. This strategic partnership is built on a strong foundation of mutual respect and common goals. We are committed to making a meaningful impact in the industry.”
