Odysseus Maritime Training Center expands its team


Odysseus Maritime Training Center has appointed an additional Trainer, as Capt. Georgios Stylianides joins ahead of the new round of courses set for January 2024.

Capt. Georgios began his career in 1977 at Kymi’s Merchant Marine Academy and has extensive experience in the shipping sector. He has worked in the private and public sector as Merchant Marine Officer, both at sea and ashore, as an Inspector with the Cyprus Port and Marine Police and as Marine Surveyor A’, in the Shipping Deputy Ministry.

From its key location in the port of Limassol, “Odysseus” offers Maritime Safety Training in accordance with IMO requirements. Established in 2020, the training center aims to provide proven practical training by experienced trainers, with the goal of further upgrading the standards the maritime industries and enhancing the professional skills, credentials, and knowledge of seafarers and technicians.

“Odysseus” is certified by the Cyprus Shipping Deputy Ministry and is ISO9001 accredited by TÜV Nord.

The next round of courses will take place beginning of January 2024 with the upcoming Basic Training A-VI/1 P 2.1.1.1-4 (8 days – full-time) and a Basic Training Refresher.
