Maersk unveils robust Omnichannel-Fulfillment capabilities for singles day shopping festival

Singles Day, also known as Double Eleven, has consistently been a monumental E-commerce event with its origins in China. Officially commencing on 1 November, this year’s shopping festival wrapped up with 156 billion USD in estimated sales, as reported by data provider Syntun.
Maersk, the global leader in integrated logistics, unveils robust Omnichannel-Fulfillment (OCF) capabilities with operations to support Double Eleven retail promotions for 56 key clients across 16 OCF sites in China. The team has managed 8.15 million outbound orders, comprising of over 16 million pieces. This represents more than 26% increase in volume of orders compared to 2022. The valued customer base includes top premium brands as Erno Laszlo and Lacoste.
During Double Eleven, the sales volume surges to unprecedented levels, reaching more than 10 times, or even 30 times of normal volume. By meticulous preparation and planning and through seamless collaboration with various teams, we are able to offer integrated services for customers across multiple verticals, including home product, footwear & apparel, fashion, FMCG, cosmetics, and technology, among others. Additionally, we have significantly leveraged automated solutions in our operations, improving productivity and enabling us to provide cost-effective, reliable, high-quality, and customised omnichannel-fulfillment services for our customers.
Maersk Omnichannel-Fulfillment has played a pivotal role in resolving our supply chain challenges, from the products leaving the factory to the warehouse, product storage, and distribution to the end customers. The team has consistently demonstrated their professionalism, efficiency, and commitment in meeting our specific requirements. I believe that we will have further opportunities for collaboration in the future, enabling our company to achieve our growth targets.
Over the past few years, Maersk has been instrumental in supporting us through numerous supply chain transformations. For instance, we have transformed from a 100% B2B supply chain to also having a B2C supply chain; and we can get integrated management of products and inventory sharing through cross-border and domestic supply chain integration. These innovations and changes have propelled our company’s turnover from 300 million yuan to 1.5 billion yuan in just three years. As in the high-end cosmetics industry, we have stringent packaging requirements and tight delivery timelines, therefore selecting Maersk as our logistics provider for Double Eleven was a natural decision. Maersk has been an invaluable partner, offering unwavering support at every stage of our journey.
