Eurogate Container Terminal Limassol announced the appointment of Alexandros Demetriades as Chief Operating Officer


The Board of Directors of Eurogate Container Terminal Limassol announced the appointment of Alexandros Demetriades as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Demetriades will succeed Capt. George Pouros, with effect from 7 November 2023.

The Board would like to thank Capt. Pouros for the constructive and excellent cooperation over the past few years. His contributions, since the company’s establishment in January 2017, have been crucial for the management, development, upgrade and modernisation of the container terminal’s services and infrastructure. Capt. Pouros significantly contributed to the company’s vision to turn the container terminal into one of the safest and most modern terminals in the Mediterranean region.

The Board of Directors would also like to welcome Alexandros Demetriades to the Eurogate family and wish him every success in his new role. Mr. Demetriades has more than 25 years of experience in successfully managing businesses in the shipping sector, both in Cyprus and abroad. Mr Demetriades’ vision and commitment to achieving ambitious goals, are fully aligned with Eurogate’s core values and mission to further upgrade the terminal’s infrastructure and services and increase its volume of business, thereby contributing to the country’s economic growth.
