Shipping Deputy Minister of Cyprus travels to Athens for the 8th Tripartite Ministerial Meeting between Greece – Cyprus – Malta


Shipping Deputy Minister of Cyprus Marina Hadjimanoli, is travelling today to Athens where she will participate in the 8th Tripartite Ministerial Meeting on Shipping between Greece, Cyprus and Malta, which is hosted by Greece, on Friday 3rd November. The Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy of Greece, Mr Christos Stylianides, and the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects of Malta, Mr. Aaron Farrougia, competent for shipping, will also be participating. During the meeting, the three Ministers of the three most important maritime countries of the European Union will discuss current issues and challenges facing global and European shipping, enhancing cooperation and coordination between the three countries.

During her stay in Athens, the Shipping Deputy Minister will hold meetings with the Greek shipowning community in the context of the intensive efforts to promote and strengthen the Cyprus Registry of Ships and Cyprus shipping in general. In addition, she will participate in events related to maritime education, aiming to create synergies that will strengthen Cyprus’s position in this sector.
