Starting September, Kathrin Schiemann has taken on the role of Sales and Marketing Manager for the DACH market  and Western Europe at Viking Line, succeeding Ralf Buchfink.

In her new role, Kathrin Schiemann will be responsible for the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to strengthen and expand Viking Line’s presence in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and other Western European countries. Her main focus will be on enhancing cooperation with European travel agencies and operators and expanding new partnerships.

Kathrin Schiemann brings an impressive background in the ferry and cruise industry. Before joining Viking Line, she served as the Head of the Office at the Association of Ferry Shipping and Ferry Tourism (VFF), Sales Manager Nord at A-ROSA Flussschiff GmbH, and Sales Promotion Manager at Stena Line.

Kathrin Schiemann assumed her new position at Viking Line on September 1, 2023, and will be based in Norderstedt near Hamburg.
