Ambassador Cruise Line names Lucy Sinclair as non executive director

Ambassador Cruise Line has appointed Google’s former Director of Business Analysis, Data and Research, Lucy Sinclair, to its Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.
Lucy has considerable strategic and operational experience in brand development, research, digital transformation and customer engagement, and has held senior roles in a number of high-profile organisations. Prior to Google, she was Director of Audiences and Media at the Royal Opera House; Chief Marketing Officer at JPI Media; and Director of Marketing & Audiences at the BBC.
In her role as Non-Executive Director, Lucy will work closely with the premium value, no-fly cruise operator in particular to support the Executive Team in accelerating the digital evolution of the business and its distribution function.
Commenting on the appointment, Gordon Wilson, Chair of the Board of Directors, Ambassador Cruise Line, said: “We are delighted to have Lucy join the board as an independent Non- Executive Director. Her experience in consumer digital engagement, pricing, revenue management and brand building will help us realise the growth ambitions we have for Ambassador Cruise Line, which is now in its second year of operation having already established itself as a leading player in the no-fly cruise market from the United Kingdom.”
Lucy commented: “I am excited to join the board of Ambassador Cruise Line, which as a new entrant into the market has already established a formidable reputation as a quality cruise operator focussed on providing premium value. I look forward to adding my skills and experience to those of the existing Board and executive management as we build further on the Ambassador Cruise Line proposition to consumers who can now enjoy departures from seven ports around the UK in addition to our home base of London Tilbury”
Founded in April 2021, Ambassador Cruise Line has established a distinctive premium value, no-fly offering within the cruise sector, operating its first cruise in April 2022. Filling a niche that other cruise operators don’t serve, it offers authentic experiences aimed at cruise intenders aged 50+ and a selection of multigenerational sailings. Ambassador operates two ships: Ambience, which sailed her maiden voyage in April 2022, and Ambition, which came into service in May 2023. Blending tradition and innovation, Ambassador offers guests the chance to enjoy the ‘warmest welcome at sea’ effortlessly and sustainably, providing them with exceptional service, outstanding cuisine, amazing entertainment and a host of breathtaking destinations.
