Hafnia acquires LR1 IMO II 2013 built Chemical Vessel

In line with the fleet renewal strategy, Hafnia has acquired a second-hand Chemical IMOII LR1 vessel “Bow Pioneer” from Odfjell. This has been renamed “Hafnia Pioneer”. The vessel was built at DSME Shipyard in South Korea in 2013.

Hafnia Pioneer was delivered to the LR1 Pool on the 5th of July 2023. The vessel has been trading with the Hafnia LR1 Pool for the past eight years and will continue in the LR1 pool while keeping a keen eye on the IMOII cargo size growth on Methanol and Biofuels in the future as these trades develop.
