Baze Technology, a leading provider of the BazePort IPTV system, is excited to announce that its market-leading platform now supports DirecTV, bringing its American clients a seamless ‘home from home’ TV viewing experience.
The BazePort IPTV platform is now fully compliant and compatible with the Pro:Idiom encryption protocol developed by LG Electronics. This widely recognised DRM solution ensures the integrity and security of high-definition digital television and Video on Demand (VoD) signals.
For American clients working offshore, having access to their favorite US TV channels helps create a valued ‘home from home’ experience during off-duty recreational time. BazePort is thrilled to offer this benefit to its clients, with Floatel International being the inaugural client to utilise this service. Floatel International, an offshore hotel fleet providing hospitality services in harsh offshore conditions, can now access DirecTV through BazePort.
Thorstein Rinker, Chief Sales Officer (CSO) at Baze Technology, expressed enthusiasm about this significant development, stating, “BazePort is excited to boost its presence and service offering in the American market. We want our US customers and American viewing audience to have the best possible TV experience with BazePort. Providing them with DirecTV when working in challenging maritime environments boosts crew morale and welfare. Our aim is to enable a ‘home from home’ viewing experience for all our clients, regardless of their location.”
This achievement was made possible through collaboration with local American partners, Starvision. The successful partnership enabled BazePort to interface with the Vantiva COM3000 headend, a High-Definition satellite headend solution designed specifically for hotels and similar installations. This integration further enhances BazePort’s service flexibility and functionality, catering to its clients’ diverse needs and requirements.
