In June, Petrobras broke monthly production records for S10 gasoline and diesel, in addition to reaching the historical mark of 72% in the processing of oil from the pre-salt layer. 2.01 billion liters of gasoline were produced, the best result since 2014. In the production of S10 diesel, the volume reached 2.11 billion liters, surpassing the previous record of May this year.

Production records were essential to meet the company’s growing sales, which in June registered an increase, compared to the same period last year, of 26% in gasoline, 2.9% in diesel S10 and 5.7% in aviation kerosene.

The Total Utilization Factor (FUT) of Petrobras refineries in the second quarter reached 93%, the best result since 2015. The FUT considers the processed oil load volume and the reference load of the refineries, that is, their operational capacity, respecting the design limits of the equipment, the safety requirements and the quality of the derivatives produced.

The results reveal, above all, the increase in sales in the domestic market and the strategy of investing in refining, adopted by Petrobras, aiming to guarantee the fulfillment of its commercial commitments with reliability, operational availability and profitability of its units.

William França, Petrobras’ Director of Industrial Processes and Products, highlights the refining capacity of Petrobras: “The reliability of the company’s refining plant operations, associated to the competence of our teams, from production planning to execution, combined with the efficiency of logistical and commercial operations, allowed us to reach this high level in processing, production and use of refineries.”
