American Cruise Lines opens 2023 Summer Season on the Upper Mississippi River

American Cruise Lines explores the Mississippi River like no one else— offering 11 itineraries and 5 of the newest riverboats for unique cruises along the length of the River, including brand new American Serenade, christened in April. The 2023 summer season on the Upper Mississippi just opened, and to celebrate, American is offering Complimentary Domestic Airfare for August and September departure dates of 8-Day Upper Mississippi River cruises, which operate between St. Louis, MO, and St. Paul, MN. Select dates also offer up to $1,200 off per stateroom and all cruises include a Complimentary Pre-Cruise Hotel Stay.
Exploring the Upper River with American Cruise Lines, guests experience enchanting scenery, hometown Americana, and the rich history of the Mighty Mississippi—as they discover the charming towns, distinct cultures, and colorful characters that embody the country’s most vital and storied waterway.
8-Day Upper Mississippi River cruises include a range of shoreside experiences, from literary inspired visits to Mark Twain’s Boyhood Home & Museum in Hannibal, MO, to more active experiences, such as the Lee County Agritourism Experience; the Field of Dreams Experience in Dubuque, IA; the Mark Twain Cave Exploration & Wine Tasting; and a visit to The National Eagle Center in Wabasha, MN. The Upper Mississippi River is home to many treasures including the country’s largest year-round eagle populations, including Bald Eagles. American’s cruises provide one of the best vantage points to view these majestic birds of prey in their natural habitat.
Summer 2023 Upper Mississippi River cruises are aboard two of American’s newest 100% private balcony riverboats, American Symphony and American Serenade. Virtual tours of all American’s riverboats are available on the main website or click here: American Riverboat Virtual Tour.
