Barbara Loyal was born and raised in Limassol, Cyprus to an Indian father and Cypriot Famagustian mother.
Barbara graduated Saint Mary’s School, Limassol and in 2001 obtained her LLB(Hons) from the University of Exeter, UK.
Barbara is a member of the Cyprus – Limassol – Bar Association since 2002; a member of WISTA Cyprus, the American Sailing Association and 1 of the 16 Mentors Nationwide of Let’s DISCO – Dive Into Shipping Career Opportunities-.
She is a joint CEO of ESM Esmeralda Shipmanagement Ltd, based in Limassol, a family owned company, founded by her father in 2002, where she has been working, for the past 14 years, responsible for the legal, financial and crew management affairs of the Company.
