PowerX has signed a collaboration agreement with the City of Yokohama for the utilisation of the Battery Tanker and storage batteries. The agreement aims to support the city’s initiatives towards establishing a carbon-neutral port.

PowerX will collaborate with the City of Yokohama, home to Yokohama Port, a leading comprehensive port in Japan, to explore next-generation energy infrastructure utilizing the Battery Tanker.

Key points of the agreement include:

• Exploring the transportation of renewable energy by Battery Tanker for use by localcompanies located in the coastal area of Yokohama City.
• Considering infrastructure development utilizing storage batteries and IT to promotethe storage, supply, and utilization of renewable energy.
• Exploring initiatives to enhance regional resilience, such as creating new industriesand securing power supply during natural disasters.
