Adonis Pavlides, currently serves as Head of the Maritime Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens, representing the Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus.
He joined the Department of Merchant Shipping – which since 2018 was integrated into Shipping Deputy Ministry- in 2004 as Marine Surveyor, while before worked as Naval Architect in Cyprus Bureau of Shipping since 1998.
From 2008 to 2013 he served as an Alternate Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cyprus to IMO at the High Commission in London and from 2013 to 2017 at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Cyprus to the European Union in Brussels, representing Cyprus in the European Council.
During the period 2017 to 2019 he was in charge of the Coordination Unit for Policy Formulation, at the Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus.
He was graduated from the National Technical University of Athens as Naval Architect and Marine Engineer.
