The 34th Annual General Meeting of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber will take place next Tuesday, 9 May 2023 at the “Four Seasons” hotel, in Limassol. The General Meeting, is the most important annual event of the Chamber and one of the most important of Cyprus Shipping events in general, as it attracts the interest of important names of the political, shipping and business scene of Cyprus.

The General Meeting will be addressed by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides and by the President of the House of Representatives, Mrs. Annita Demetriou. In addition, the General Meeting will also be attended and addressed by Mr. Guy Platten, the Secretary General of the International Chamber of Shipping, in which the Cyprus Shipping Chamber has been a member for 30 years, actively representing the Cyprus Shipping Industry.

During the delegations of the General Meeting, the Chamber’s President Mr. Themis Papadopoulos, will present the multi-faceted work of the Chamber in the year 2022, the current status of the Cyprus Shipping Industry and the challenges and prospects for further growth, for the benefit of the Cyprus Economy and Society.

Additionally, it will be attended by State and Government dignitaries, Ministers, Political Party representatives, Members of the House of Representatives, Diplomats, representatives of Professional Organisations and Members of the Chamber.
