KT to cooperate in 5G market with Nokia and Megazone Cloud
KT, Nokia and Megazone Cloud will join forces to establish a private 5G business strategy with AWS.
KT announced on March 2 that it has agreed with Nokia and Megazone Cloud on a plan to develop a private 5G (5G-specialised network) business using the cloud of AWS at MWC 2023 in Barcelona, Spain.
Through this cooperation, KT, Nokia and Megazone Cloud will join forces to establish a private 5G business strategy with AWS, develop management solutions, and build and run cloud network infrastructure.
In details, they will build an end-to-end private 5G service platform based on AWS cloud services, develop cloud-only equipment for private 5G telecommunications, expand Software as a Service (SaaS), develop a network operation management system for customers, promote joint demonstration projects, discover business opportunities for small businesses and secure a sales cooperation system, and strengthen human resources development and capabilities so that customers will be able to introduce digital transformation (DX) solutions easily and quickly.
Meanwhile, KT exhibited a safety solution that can be used in industrial sites by linking a mobile camera to a 5G specialized network composed of AWS’s cloud and Nokia’s equipment at MWC.
