DNV appoints Geir Fuglerud as Supply Chain & Product Assurance CEO

Geir Fuglerud has been appointed as CEO of DNV’s Supply Chain & Product Assurance (SCPA) business area.

Remi Eriksen, DNV Group President and CEO, said, “I am pleased to announce that Geir Fuglerud will take on the role of CEO for SCPA and will join the Executive Committee. In the 17 years that Geir has been with DNV, he has worked with major shipping and offshore companies, oil majors, and governmental authorities around the world. He has been involved in projects related to operational excellence, safety, energy efficiency, emerging green technologies, offshore aquaculture and renewables. He has ten years of leadership experience in South East Asia and the Middle East & Africa, and since 2019 in a global role as Director of Offshore Classification in Maritime he has been instrumental in leading on initiatives to support our customers in their Energy Transition needs. I am confident that he will successfully lead SCPA in the next phase of its strategy.”

Geir joins from DNV’s Maritime business area. He holds a Master of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and University of Glasgow, and a Graduate Diploma in International Business from the University of Auckland. He has an avid interest in emerging technologies as well as new regulations and their impact on trends in global economy.
