“Despite the fact that our developmental emphasis is focused on cleaner forms of energy, our prominent flagship is still the petroleum products. In such a volatile market, our priority remains Greece’s uninterrupted supply as well as to ensure alternative sources of crude supply”, the HELLENiQ ENERGY’s CEO Mr. Andreas Shiamishis underlined, when referring to the agreement, which both expands and enhances the Group’s relationship with EGPC.
The signing of the bilateral cooperation took place on the sidelines of the Energy Forum “EGYPS”, which is organized in Cairo yearly, under the auspices of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Mr. Abdel Fattah El Sisi, with the participation of many energy companies of the wider region.
HELLENiQ ENERGY’s senior executives have had a series of meetings and discussions regarding petroleum products issues and engineering services, while emphasis was given to the RES, the sector where the Company is implementing an important development program. Speaking on a panel entitled “Decarbonising the industry”, with an audience of distinguished business leaders from around the world, CEO Mr. A. Shiamishis presented HELLENiQ ENERGY’s strategic plan for the Group’s transition.
The last few years, HELLENiQ ENERGY constantly participates in the Egypt Petroleum Show, which is the premier petroleum exhibition and conference in North Africa and the Mediterranean. This year, the EGYPS was held from 13-15 February in the Egypt International Exhibition Center with more than 32,000 attendees, while industry professionals and business executives, examined the strategic priorities in the wider region.
