National Navigation Company of Egypt selects Veson as long-term technology partner

National Navigation Company of Egypt (NNC) has selected the Veson IMOS Platform (VIP) to achieve full integration of commercial ship management operations

National Navigation Company(NNC), the largest Egyptian shipping company specialized in the shipment of dry cargo, and Veson Nautical (Veson), a leading provider of commercial maritime software and services, have announced NNC’s selection of the Veson IMOS Platform (VIP) as their maritime freight management solution.

In view of the tremendous progress in the field of information technology and digital applications, which have become an essential ingredient to an effective business environment, NNC set out to build a “best of breed” stack of IT solutions and technologies that could support the organization’s unique needs and strategic growth in the coming years. NNC’s key objectives were to ensure the effective management of resources, a continuous flow of data and information across the organization, and enhanced interconnectivity between various departments and business functions. The selection of the market-leading maritime freight management solution, the Veson IMOS Platform (VIP), was a key component in actioning this ambitious new digitization initiative.

VIP will support the commercial management of NNC’s freight contracts and commitments, adding additional value by seamlessly integrating with other critical systems selected by NNC, such as technical fleet management and corporate accounting systems. In addition, adopting VIP as their foundational commercial solution will help increase the level of disclosure and transparency within the company structure, another key objective for NNC.

“We are excited to welcome NNC to the Veson community at a time when their business is growing and rapidly evolving to meet the demands of the ever-changing markets around us,” said Stavros Vavasis, Commercial Sales Manager at Veson Nautical. “NNC`s digitization initiative is a fantastic example of how a company can leverage best of breed technologies readily available in the market to create its own tailor-made solution to support business continuity and long-term longevity.”

Vavasis added: “Working with the various NNC stakeholders involved in the project was a rewarding experience. We are elated to have been able to deliver on all the objectives we set out to meet in cooperation with these wonderful people.”

Mr. Mohamed Soliman, Executive General Manager at NNC, said: “Our mission is to deliver integrated, highly efficient shipping services to meet the requirements of our customers and partners as well as safety and the environment. We expect that Veson will play in instrumental role in supporting us as we live out this mission, securing the transfer of strategic goods so important to the Egyptian economy and expanding the capacity of the organization in a more efficient, informed, and streamlined way than previously possible.”
