Hiab, part of Cargotec, has received a large order for 507 WALTCO tail lifts from a rental company operating in all 50 US states. The customer has ordered four different liftgate models, with the HLF series being over 80 percent of the order. The order was booked in Cargotec’s Q4 2022 order intake with deliveries being made during 2023.

The customer has commercial rental customers all across the US and the WALTCO liftgates will be used in all 50 states. The rental company has been a WALTCO customer since the 1980s and is looking to increase the fleet over the five years.

“This is a long-standing and valued WALTCO customer, with whom we are now growing our partnership. We are very pleased that our products have proven themselves for almost 40 years and helped make deliveries possible all across the US,” says Martin Saint, Vice President, Sales & Product Management, Tail Lifts, Hiab.

He continues: “For rental customers, it is important to have easy-to-use, safe and reliable liftgates like the WALTCO HLF series so even new operators can be productive from day one.”

The WALTCO HLF is a flipaway liftgate with a large platform suitable for a variety of truck and trailer applications. Available in 2,500 lb., 3,000 lb., 4,000 lb., and 5,000 lb. lifting capacities. Its simplified design offers maximum convenience, performance and flexibility, ideal for rental customers who typically use the truck short to medium-term.

Hiab has a network of certified technicians all across the US to help keep WALTCO liftgates in premium condition. Original spare parts not in stock can quickly be distributed from Hiab’s Regional Distribution Center in Indianapolis.
