Torvald Klaveness and RightShip announced the signing of an integration deal that will improve the availability of vessel data in its value-driven platform, Market Manager.

Market Manager, the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution pioneered by the Klaveness Dry Bulk team, is used by Klaveness’ chartering team, and made available to charterers and operators for commercial use to support data-driven decision-making. The tool considers industry trends and benchmarks as well as vessel specific information to navigate the market. The integration deal with RightShip blends the commercial and technical expertise of both parties to fuel Market Manager with data corresponding to Dry Bulk vessel Inspection status, Safety Score, DOC-subscores and GHG Rating.

Michael Jørgensen, Head of Dry Bulk at Klaveness, commented: “Shipping needs greater transparency and a willingness to collaborate, we believe this can be achieved through data sharing and partnerships. We see the deal with Rightship as an important milestone in arming both our own team and our customers to make better informed decisions when it comes to choosing the right vessel.”

Steen Brodsgaard Lund, CEO at RightShip, commented: “RightShip has a strong vision of a maritime industry which causes zero harm. By sharing data and information to other platforms, such as Klaveness’ Market Manager, we hope to raise the profile of these issues and empower each person in the maritime industry to make decisions which contribute to a zero-harm society.”
