This Bureau Veritas Type Approvalis not for specific equipment or aspecific setup – rather it covers theoverall Quazar solution onboard,including how all managedequipment and services arehardened with security controlpolicies and cyber protectionmechanisms, for full peace of mind.As a result Quazar is the first suchholistically Type Approved service.
Everything on the IT infrastructurethat is managed through the Quazarplatform is type approved for cybersecurity, including all peripheralsand all IT components, as wellas the entire ethernet cablinginfrastructure. This not only provides shipoperators with a secure setup, butalso complete peace of mind whenit comes to external security audits. In addition, Quazar’s personal ITManager is always ready to answerany questions, or demonstratethe platform to users, but also toprovide any required documentationor digital records.
As digital records are kept for all processes in the form of tickets, there is a clear paper trail certifying that an engineer has seen an issue, analysed it, and resolved it. Such issues can range from security alerts to failed components, but also include less critical matters such as low toner levels for an onboard printers.
