The Cyprus Shipping Chamber, as the professional association of the Shipping Industry in Cyprus, organised the established second Blood Donation for the year, on December 7, 2022, in Limassol, with the voluntary participation of the staff of the Shipping Companies-Members of the Chamber, thus displaying a part of the public benefit work carried out by the Shipping Industry.
The Chamber has decided to dedicate the December Blood Drive to the memory of former Chamber Secretariat Member, Mr. Ben Casey, who passed away in December 2021. Ben worked as an Officer at the Chamber for 28 years, making a significant contribution to educational activities of the Chamber and helping a significant number of young people and professionals from its Member Companies in Cyprus to advance their careers in Shipping and thus providing the sector with qualified professionals.
In addition to its main services to its Members, the action of the Shipping Chamber is inextricably linked to social corporate responsibility, carrying out for over thirty years, since its establishment in 1989, numerous social activities, through which it strengthens the Cypriot society, always with the keen participation of its Member shipping companies and their staff.
