Cyprus Shipping Chamber joins Cyprus shipping promotional mission in Hamburg


The Cyprus Shipping Chamber (CSC), within its long-standing efforts to further promote Cyprus Shipping abroad, participated and supported a Cyprus Shipping Promotional Mission in Hamburg, lead by the Shipping Deputy Minister, Mr. Vassilios Demetriades, between 29-30 November 2022.

The Shipping Deputy Minister made a presentation entitled “Cyprus Shipping: Prospects & Challenges” followed by a networking Cocktail Reception for a number of important German shipowners. The organisation of this event by the Shipping Deputy Ministry, was a great opportunity for shipowners in Hamburg, to learn on the latest economic and political developments in Cyprus and the Cyprus Government’s efforts to support and enhance Shipping in Cyprus, as well as on regional and international level.

The Chamber’s Director General, Mr. Thomas A. Kazakos, represented the Chamber in this expedition and held separately a number of parallel meetings with Shipping companies in Hamburg, to further enhance the already strong business relations between Cyprus and Germany on shipping matters.
