Göran Fransson joins Echandia as CCO

In line with the ambition to expand in new segments and markets, Echandia has appointed long time maritime executive and business developer Göran Fransson as CCO (Chief Commercial Officer). In his new role, Mr. Fransson will take the lead on building Echandia’s global commercial operation.

2022 has been a year of intense activity, both commercially and in terms of product development and growth. The newly appointed CEO Fredrik Hellström is in place, taking the lead on building the company and Echandia’s long term growth, and Magnus Eriksson has taken the newly instated CSO role. Hence, it comes naturally and is well timed for Echandia to fill the commercial leadership role as well.

Göran Fransson has previously held the roles as Global Business Manager at Alfa Laval, Commercial Director at maritime systems company, Trident BMC (formerly Baltec Marine), Vice President Sales and Marketing at US Ship Supply Corporation, and has had several international roles to grow Roxtec in new markets and segments.

We are extremely happy to have Göran on our team. Throughout his career, he has shown the ability to generate fantastic results and growth. With the plans we have going forward, this is a very welcome addition to Echandia. With great products and an attractive client list, Echandia is ready to accelerate its expansion and scale up the business, says CEO Fredrik Hellström in a comment.

The global maritime landscape continues to transform from diesel and fossil dependency to alternative fuels and electrical power, and Echandia is opportunistically growing with it. Over the last year, Echandia has entered new segments such as naval applications and high-speed people carriers and CTV’s. With the recent turmoil in energy markets, offshore wind is also seeing a renewed interest in updating its offshore service vessels as well as other applications that can become electrified and emission free.

It feels like I’m entering Echandia and the electrification mega trend at a very favorable time. We are getting ready to grow long-term, and I couldn’t be happier to join the team at this point. I will be able to bring my experiences from previous growth journeys to increase the momentum at Echandia, says Mr. Göran Fransson in a comment.
