Highlights include: 

One of the main negatives for dry bulk trade this year has been the reduction in Chinese coal import interest, with inbound volumes (including lignite) down almost 60 Mt year-on-year, to 138.4 Mt in January-July. (P6)

World steel data show all but one of the world’s major steel producers experienced contraction  in the 1h22. As a consequence, global crude steel output fell -5.5% annually in January-June. (P8)
