Greek ship management company Seastar decides to extend their use of Norwegian Maindeck

July 25, 2022

Seastar has decided to continue using Maindeck after successfully completing a Proof of Concept earlier this year.

Established in 1974, Seastar is private and independent ship management company based in Athens, Greece. The company manages a fleet of 14 modern bulk carriers of various sizes. They are committed to provide world-class ship management services that meet or exceed safety and environmental requirements while exceeding their customers’ expectations.

“When Maindeck was initially presented to me I was intrigued by the many functions offered but skeptical as to whether it could be practical on a day to day basis within a hectic repair period. Its use within a challenging repair project quickly cleared my second thoughts. The fact that the software is browser based and can be used from anywhere is a great asset to have. The mobile phone application is your main tool while on the field, providing a quick and simple way to update tasks and review past updates. Multiple users can be added and provide updates that will contribute to the auto generated daily report that is especially useful when dealing with a multidisciplinary project” says Kyriakos Pelekos, Fleet Manager at Seastar.

“We are very happy that Seastar have decided to continue using Maindeck to manage their dry-docking projects after successfully completing their POC. Greece is an important market to us, so we are excited to have this seal of approval from Seastar” says Maindeck’s CEO, Sasan Mameghani.
