
On 20th June 2022, Cyprus Marine Club held an event by Mr. Marios Skandalis, FCCA, CFC, CFE, FICA, FCG | President of CYPRUS INTEGRITY FORUM (CIF), who has delighted our guests with a presentation titled: “Cyprus Integrity Forum – Cyprus‘ Weapon Against Corruption” .
At the event members had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the CIF in creating the relevant awareness for combating corruption and promoting transparency in society and the business world and supporting the State in forming and implementing its related policies and regulatory framework.

CIF today serves as the primary source of information and collaborator in Cyprus for any national activity in the fight against corruption at all levels.
After the presentation, many burning, questions, were raised by the audience and heated, passionate discussion lasted for at least 30 min.
Capt. E. Koch welcomed members with a brief update and shared membership numbers (137 on the day) and reminded to register to the Club EGM, AGM and Annual Dinner at Amara Hotel on 1st July.
The new sponsor of CMC, Baluco Ltd., was warmly welcomed by the President during his short speech.

Capt. E. Koch also announced Wine and Dine Event at Omodos on September 17th and then a special event on October 7th, organized on the occasion of Maritime Cyprus 2022 with a guest of honor – Mr. Andreas Hadjiyiannis, the President of the Cyprus Union of Shipowners.
