Stockholm crammed with warships in June

Stockholm was a mighty sight from 2nd to 5th June, when more than 40 warships from 13 nations visited the city. This was part of the major NATO Baltops 22 exercises and the Swedish Navy’s 500th anniversary celebrations.

Ports of Stockholm worked long and hard to plan and prepare the extremely detailed puzzle of vessel calls. Welcoming 40 warships from 13 different nations meant high demands for security, safety and service. The different expectations of each nation, military regulations and traditions were also taken into account.

Ports of Stockholm also provided facilities for each ship to offload sewage and to resupply with fresh water.

This was a mighty sight in Stockholm and a historic maritime event.
