Cyprus Shipping Deputy Ministry participation at Posidonia 2022 exhibition


The Shipping Deputy Minister Vassilios Demetriades attended in Athens on the occasion of the participation of Cyprus in the International Maritime Exhibition “Poseidonia 2022”, which took place between 6 and 10 June.

Mr. Demetriades, in the context of the exhibition, participated in actions and initiatives aimed at promoting the Cyprus Shipping, while he visited booths of Cypriot companies supporting business initiatives that seek to consolidate and form diversified services outside of Cyprus, sending the message that Cyprus has become an international complex of quality shipping activities.

At the same time, during his visit to Athens, the Shipping Deputy Minister with a group of associates held meetings with shipping companies in the context of continuous information and consultation with the shipping community, while on June 6, he presented to the Heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited in Cyprus and are based in Athens, the vision and the Strategy of the Cyprus Shipping.

On the same day, Mr. Demetriades visited the premises of the Piraeus Port Authority and participated in a meeting where he was informed about the departure and arrival procedures of the ship that will operate the Cyprus-Greece Maritime Passenger Connection.

Mr. Demetriades also had the opportunity, in the context of a special event, to highlight the advantages of Cyprus Shipping as well as the new actions and initiatives promoted by the Shipping Deputy Ministry to shipowners, executives of shipping companies, law firms and international law firms, representatives and covering maritime journalism, as well as associates of the Ministry of Shipping in Greece and internationally.
