Port of Cardiff welcomes first cruise ship of the season

Associated British Ports , the UK’s leading ports group, welcomed Silversea Cruises’ ultra-luxurious ship, Silver Whisper, at its Port of Cardiff.

The Port of Cardiff is located in the heart of Cardiff Bay and minutes away from the Welsh capital, making it a popular destination. Thursday 5th May 2022 saw the port’s first cruise call of the year as Silver Whisper made a transit call.

Andrew Harston, ABP’s Regional Director said:
“We are delighted to welcome the arrival of the ultra-luxury cruise ship and her passengers to our Port of Cardiff. The South Wales capital and the Bay area have so much to offer and are easily accessible from the port.”

Guests enjoyed a walking tour of Cardiff as well as visits to Cardiff Castle, Tintern Abbey and Caerphilly Castle.
