MABUX World Bunker Index (consists of a range of prices for 380 HSFO, VLSFO and MGO in the main world hubs) changed irregularly on April 22:

380 HSFO – USD/MT – 733.11 (-2.28)
VLSFO – USD/MT – 954.49 (+3.95)
MGO – USD/MT – 1241.12 (-2.78)

As of April 22, a correlation of MABUX MBP Index (Market Bunker Prices) vs MABUX DBP Index (Digital Bunker Prices Benchmark) in four largest global hubs showed that 380 HSFO fuel grade was overvalued in all selected ports: Rotterdam – by plus $24 (plus $46 the day before), in Singapore – by plus $125 (plus $143 the day before), in Fujairah – by plus $87 (plus $121 the day before), in Houston by plus $105 (plus $117 the day before). The most significant changes were registered in Fujairah- the overcharge level decreased by 34 points on April 22.

VLSFO, according to the MABUX MBP /DBP Index, was overcharged on April 22 in all selected ports. The overcharge ratio was registered in Rotterdam – plus $99 (plus $123 the day before), in Singapore by plus $40 (plus $57 the day before), in Fujairah – by plus $53 (plus $70 the day before), in Houston – plus $106 (plus $121 the day before). The most significant changes were registered in Rotterdam where the overcharge level decreased by 24 points on April 22.

MGO LS, according to the MABUX MBP /DBP Index, was overcharged in all selected ports on April 22: in Rotterdam – by plus $138 (plus $147 the day before), Singapore by plus $42 (plus $37 the day before), in Fujairah – by plus $111 (plus $73 the day before), in Houston – by plus $119 (plus $98 the day before). The most significant changes were registered in Fujairah -the overcharge level increased by 38 points.

We expect global bunker prices may continue to change irregularly today. The price for 380HSFO and VLSFO may decline by 9-12 USD/MT, the price for MGO may increase by 5-8 USD/MT.
