According to Xinhua News, Chinese President and General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Mr. Xi Jinping arrived in the Yangpu Economic Development Zone located in Danzhou City, Hainan Province, and visited the Yangpu Exhibition Hall and Xiaochantan Port Area of the Yangpu International Container Terminal to learn about the development of the economic development zone and the construction of the free trade port with Chinese characteristics.Located at Yangpu Port, Hainan Province, Yangpu International Container Terminal is operated by Hainan Harbor & Shipping Holding under COSCO SHIPPING. It is situated across the sea from Qinzhou Port of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Haiphong Port of Vietnam, at the forefront of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone. As the last deep-water container port in China to the South China Sea via the Beibu Gulf, it is also the first container gateway port into China from the South China Sea via the Beibu Gulf.
