The Cyprus Shipping Chamber welcomes the proposal to transfer the Port Authority to Limassol

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber, as the representative of the Shipping Industry in Cyprus, welcomes the proposal for the transfer of the headquarters of the Cyprus Ports Authority to the city of Limassol. Limassol is the shipping capital of Cyprus and the seat of the Cyprus Shipping Industry, with more than 180 shipping and related shipping companies, based and conducting their daily international business activities.

This proposal recognises the scope and size of shipping activities in Limassol. It is therefore considered a very functional proposal, as the simultaneous presence of the Shipping Deputy Ministry and the Ports Authority in Limassol, will have positive results for even closer cooperation and further quality support of the activities of the Shipping Industry.
