MSC to participate at Singapore Maritime Week 2022

André Simha, Global Chief Digital and Innovation Officer, will be attending and speaking at the MarineTech conference which is being held as part of the Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) this April. Themed “Transformation for Growth”, SMW 2022 expands on the momentum built up by the industry in taking key steps towards digitalisation, while tackling the urgent issue of climate change.
Andre will be part of the highly anticipated keynote dialogue, being held on 5 April, delving into the topic of “The Future of Supply Chains – Rethinking Disruption, Resilience and Digitalisation”. The session is being moderated by Quah Ley Hoon, Chief Executive of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
Audiences can look forward to hearing Andre share his views not just from MSC’s perspective, but also from his role as the Chairman of the Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA). Other panel members include seasoned senior executives Tan Chong Meng, Group Chief Executive Officer, PSA International, Laurent Olmeta, APAC CEO, CMA CGM and Allard Castelein, President and CEO, Port of Rotterdam.
On the second day of the MarineTech conference, Andre will be taking part in a virtual panel focusing on “Overcoming Challenges in Data Sharing and Just-In-Time Initiatives”. Moderated by Hans Rook, Chairman, International Port Community Systems Association, the session will also feature other experts Mikael Lind, Senior Strategic Research Advisor, Research Institute of Sweden, Geert Dewilde, Chief Operating Officer, NxtPort International and Bruce Mills, Wärtsilä Voyage’s Global Business Development Director.
